Gosh, week 7 already. The term has flown by. There has been many highlights for this term and its been amazing watching the childrens confidence growing. Welcome to Andrei and Byron this term who have joined our class. Its great getting new boys to join our class as we are very female dominant.
Calendar Art is completed now and is displayed in our class room window. The calendars, diaries and cards make great gifts and all of the profits go to the PTA. Don't leave your ordering too late. 11 September is the cut off point, so be in quick.
Speaking of the PTA. This is a very important school community group and it is very short of parent support. Please step forward and assist this group with their work in and around the school. You do not need to attend all of the meetings, but be available to help out with events in and around the school. This year the PTA has provided the new Basketball hoops and boards on the court behind the old tower block. This is a major investment and we would not have them without the PTA fundraising efforts. So come on everyone, get behind the PTA and come along and help out.
The school production, Little Stars, was a huge success and it was great to see the Room 1 children come along in the evenings to enjoy the show. You never know, one of you may be the next Little Star in the next school production.
The school choir performed at Baycourt and were fantastic. We had 8 children from Room 1 in this years choir and it was lovely to see them enjoying this experience. Well done to you all.
The winter sports are almost over. Term 4 will bring new opportunities for our children. Flippa ball and Touch are the main sports offered by the school. If you are interested in playing come and see Mrs James to find out more. Our Facebook Page Tahatai Sport will also give you loads of information and continuous updates about sport and results.
