School Cross Country Acrostic Poetry.

The following are the children's Acrostic Poems that were motivated by their Cross Country experiences.

Cross Country

Children nervously lining up in rows.
Running anxiously round the block.
Outside in fresh air.
Seriously exhausted.
Some children come first, second and third,

Cross Country race.
Over the finish line at top speed
Underneath a giant tree.
Not there yet.
Trying to your best ability.
Running terribly hard.
Yards of green grass everywhere.

Cross Country

Children coming in at the finish line.
Running at a good pace.
Under, over, round the bends.
Sweating girls and boys and ice blocks.
Some children buying ice blocks.

Cross our country.
Our little year ones ran amazingly.
Underneath a giant tree.
Now everyone is finished we can have a drink.
Too much water mum.
Ruby and friends selling ice blocks for the PTA.
You hear people cheering you on.

Cross Country

Children cheering after you go.
Running so fast you are really tired.
Over the grass to finish the race.
So hot you are sweating, even your ice block melts.
Some kids, like your brother, cheering for you.

Come to watch your kids.
Ouch! I got a stubbed toe.
Underneath the ice block table.
“No”, say the teachers, “You can’t stop”.
Trip. “Wait”, say the kids, “I tripped over”.
Rikaia was having real fun running.
“You are the best”, your parents say.

Cross Country

Children lining up to race.
Roaring children cheering on people
Over the hill the children sprit.
Sun shining all over children racing.
Some people buying ice blocks and slurping them up.

Children running hard out.
One child falls over and hurts them self.
Uncles and aunties, mums, and dads watching.
None of the children want to come last so they run their hearts out.
Tired children huffing and puffing.
Racing children trying to come first.
You finish at the line relieved.

Cross Country

Children pushing on the starting line.
Running as fast as a cheetah.
On slippery grass.
Sweating boys and girls.
Sunshine shining on the kids.

Children running as fast as they can.
Outside in the hot as sun.
Under the hot sun.
Noisy people cheering people on.
Trying your hardest.
Running as fast as a cheetah.
You hear people cheering you on.

Cross Country

Cold ice blocks  melting  in my mouth .
Running like you had a dinosaur chasing after you.
Our family supporting. screaming their lungs out.
Sun, bright cooking me like a meat paddy .
Stitch giving me pain .

Coffee smelling  hot and delicious .
Out on extension track.
Under neath nice cold shade “uh”.
Never want to stop running .
Tired from running .
Racing hard out .
Yawning from running.
